The lodge has a traditional rustic design like the villages along the Amazon Jungle. It’s strong wooden foundation was constructed by the community of the Yanamonos.

Our friendly and environmental construction has modern facilities with high safety standards. The 21 guest rooms with private bathroom and hot water; restaurant, lobby, bar and the hammock room are completely protected with mosquito netting and they all are interconnected by passageways that have palm thatching roofs.

The electric generator (soundproof) is used intermittently for short periods of time: 2 hours in the mornings and about 5 hours in the evening. After 10:00 p.m. and until 6:00 a.m. Heliconia Lodge is illuminated by kerosene lamps giving the lodge a magical environment.

Services:
Our services at Heliconia Lodge include:

• Healthy and delicious food mainly prepared with the Amazon region ingredients like the Dorado or Zúngaro (catfish) one of the largest fresh water fish in the world, palm's heart (palmetto), fried or cooked bananas, diverse tropical fruits like papaya, pineapple, mango, melons, among others.

• Safety ground and river transportation in our suitable vehicles and speed boats.

• Guided Excursions with our local bilingual guides (Spanish and English) who have been brought up knowing all the Amazon Jungle wildlife are waiting to share with our guests this knowledge in a simple but yet profound manner.
