Amazon River Expeditions, offers one of the most natural places of the Amazonia: The National Reserve Pacaya Samiria, also known as “Jungle of Mirrors”; because the jungle and sky reflect themselves so clearly in the dark water of its rivers and lakes, the visitor has the sensation of being sailing by mirrors without end. It has a great variety of flora and fauna, much of them in danger of extinction.

In Peru, unlike Manu and Tambopata, only in the jungle of Amazonas River, in Loreto Region, the visitors will have the possibility of observing the exotic Pink Dolphin of the Amazonas (Ipnia Iofrensis) in its natural habitat.

Our departure point for the expeditions to the Reserve, is the exclusive resort of Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge, located 190 kilometers (120 miles) to the southwest of Iquitos city at the shore of Marañon River, near (on the opposite side) of Pacaya Samiria National Reserve.
