Excursions and suggested Itineraries
The programs to National Reserve of Pacaya Samiria are organized taking as route of access the Yanayacu River, as well as the various tributaries of Ucayali and Marañon river, offering itineraries from 3 to 6 days that include:
- Terrestrial and river transportation from Iquitos to the Lodge and vice versa.
- Observation of Amazonas River birth from the viewpoint built on the riverside community of Grau, where it is greatly appreciated all over the year.
- Complete meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- Walking by the surroundings of the Lodge and bird watching, parrots and guacamayos.
- Seeking of Pink Dolphins and observations of monkeys, perezoso bears and aquatic birds.
- Rides in canoes and artesanal fishing.
- Visit the riverside communities.
- Explore Primary Forest inside the Reserve, identify plants and trees.
- Night tour seeking alligators.
- Sleep in Camp inside the Reserve (Programs from 5 days).
The groups of visitors are limited to a maximum of 12 people per boat with the purpose of allowing a better appreciation of nature. The excursions are managed by bilingual guides with experience in ecotourism and also by local guides. |
