Day 01: Lima / Iquitos / Zungarococha Bungalows Be at the airport two hours in advance in order to board the plane to Iquitos. Arrival in Iquitos city, reception, transportation to Port Villa Santo Tomas to board our fluvial embarkation and begin a crossing sailing by beautiful lakes tributaries of Nanay River. Arriving in ZUNGAROCOCHA AMAZON LODGES we will be welcoming with a tropical beverage. Allocation of rooms. Visit and walk by the lodge facilities located in a tropical jungle environment. Guided walk in the jungle where we will be able to appreciate the variety of botanical species and insects. Return to the lodge and lunch. Afternoon free to enjoy the pool, rides in canoe or simply rest in our typical hammock bungalow built at the shores of ZUNGAROCOCHA Lake, enjoying the landscape and specialties of our bar. Night walk sailing in ZUNGAROCOCHA Lake, enjoy the magic sounds of the jungle. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge. Day 02: Zungarococha / Quistococha / Fishing Tour Breakfast in Zungarococha Bungalows. Visit a picturesque near country town where we will be able to appreciate the costumes of river side inhabitants. Transfer to Quisotococha, which is located 6 kilometers far from Iquitos city, this park has an extension of 369 hectares and is surrounding the lake of the same name. The lodge has a museum, aquarium, the Serpentario (a place with different kind of serpents), little zoos, paths around the lake and a small harbor (embarcadero) where you can rent a boat. It has a variety of fauna, fishes as paiches, sabalos and boquichicos; birds as blue and red guacamayo; and mammals as otorongos, pumas, tigrillos, sachavaca, sajinos, huanganas, river wolfs, some monkeys y reptiles, between others. Quistococha Lake has an extension of 56 hectares, transparent and dark water due to organic material substances and an artificial beach named Tunchiplaya. Return to the lodge and lunch. In the afternoon we will have an artisan fishing tour. Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Day 03: Iquitos / Amazonas River / Boras / Pilpintihuasi / Lima Breakfast in Zungarococha Bungalows. Return to the city. Luggage will be left in Victoria Regia Hotel. At the appropriate hour we will make the tour to the majestic Amazonas River, we will visit the community of San Andres as well where we will meet the Bora Natives, who will make us participate in their dances, traditions, costumes and hand made souvenirs. Then we will visit Pilpintihuasi Butterfly Zoo, this place is an example of conservation efforts of flora and fauna where we will be able to see the complete life of cycle and learn about the impressive development of butterflies. Return to the city and transfer to the airport for your return flight to Lima. THE ACCESS TO THE LODGE WILL BE BY BOAT IF THE LEVEL OF THE RIVER PERMITS IT IN CASE IT DOESN’T ALLOW THE ACCESS WILL BE BY ROAD.
